Jeanne Core
Jeanne Core (pronounced like genie) has been practicing law in Wyoming since 2019 and founded Core Legal in 2022. She is a graduate of the University of Wyoming College of Law and is licensed to practice in Wyoming, Colorado, and on the Wind River Indian Reservation.
Jeanne was honored as a Pro Bono Leader by the American Bar Association in 2022, one of only two Wyoming attorneys to receive this award. Jeanne was also the recipient of the Wyoming State Bar’s 2023 Pro Bono Award for Legal Services for Indigent Clients. Jeanne currently serves as the Board President for the Albany County SAFE Project.
During law school, Jeanne was actively involved in the Women’s Law Forum and Wyoming Law Students for Equal Justice and was the student director of the Family and Child Legal Advocacy Clinic. She was named the Outstanding Graduate of the Class of 2019 by the National Association of Women Lawyers, the 2019 Outstanding Student of the Family and Child Legal Advocacy Clinic and was a finalist for the University of Wyoming College of Law Outstanding Student.
Before law school, Jeanne was the Executive Director of Crisis Prevention and Response, a domestic violence and sexual assault advocacy program in Washakie County, Wyoming. Prior to entering private practice, Jeanne worked as a Program Attorney for the Wyoming Coalition Against Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault, serving survivors of those crimes in civil legal matters including family law, Title IX and protection orders. Jeanne has specialized training in the dynamics of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking and child abuse; and practices law with a holistic, trauma-informed lens. She feels passionate about helping survivors find justice, safety, and peace of mind for themselves and their children.
Jeanne has experience working in courts and serving clients around the State of Wyoming and on the Wind River Reservation. During the last three years, she has appeared in 33 of the 48 Circuit and District Courts in our state. She has lived in Wyoming for 16 years, first in the Big Horn Basin and now in Laramie.
Jeanne has been married for more than 22 years and is the mother of four great kids. Her favorite things include spending time with family, especially road trip adventures, working on endless DIY house projects, listening to super nerdy podcasts, and all things creative and musical. She loves Wyoming and feels privileged to live, work, and raise her family here.

For anyone contemplating whether to hire Jeanne or not without a doubt do it! Jeanne was an amazing attorney for me. From the get go Jeanne was willing to fight for me when other lawyers didn’t want to help me. Jeanne was willing to help me get 50/50 custody of my daughter and understood that this was without a doubt my ultimate goal.
