Flat Fee Billing

How Flat Fee Billing Works

Core Legal uses an innovative flat-fee billing structure. The advantages to a client is that they will know up front how much legal representation will cost, eliminating the stress of unknown monthly billing. This allows the client to enter into representation that fits their budget.

If a client’s budget is limited, Core Legal could be retained to do a limited-scope representation such as drafting pleadings without entering into a full service representation agreement, or representing the client for a specific hearing only, if that is what the client can afford. A client can also plan ahead for full-service representation, with concrete ideas of how much they will spend.

Win Win

Flat-fee billing benefits both the client and the attorney. Because billing is not being compounded by the hour (or the minute!), the attorney can do what is best for a case without worrying about how much it will cost a client. The attorney can also send an email or take a phone call without billing extra. This allows for good, open communication between the attorney and the client and leads to better outcomes in the case.
